This is our last piece on the Journey of Faith! If you haven’t been following from the beginning, you can access the topics treated in this series using the links at the bottom of this page. To conclude this series, we’ll be talking today about living a life of Faith.

Let me re-echo a scripture I gave last two weeks.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

Everything in the believer’s life is regulated by a pivot who happens to be God. He is the reason for our being. God created everything on earth into a habitat. The habitat is what serves as a source of life for every being. A fish will not survive out of water nor plant out of the soil. Animals on land can’t survive in the sea because of the above named principle. When God created man, guess what? He gave him a habitat as well.

“The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.” Genesis 2:8 NKJV

Where man was placed had another name, THE PRESENCE OF GOD. He was placed at the very center of life. I have explained all these to establish a point. WE WERE CREATED FOR HIS GLORY, WE WERE CREATED TO PLEASE HIM.

In order that we may please Him, we must develop a lifestyle of Faith. Because that’s the only way to please Him. I have mentioned in our first blog for the month of May that man is made up of three compartments. The solution to how to live a life of faith lies within one of those compartments. But before that, lets look at a simple way to figure God out.

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24 NKJV

GOD IS SPIRIT. Our ability to have this faith lifestyle stems from this very truth. If God is Spirit then we cannot please Him with anything fleshy or physical. As part of the compartment of man is a part called the spirit. That’s only the part of us that has no fleshy part and hence can please God.

For us to be able to walk with GOD, we need to learn how to relate with God not through our physical senses but rather with our spiritual senses. We must learn to receive his words not with our minds but with our spirit. Our physical senses can only produce doubt because of our mind’s inability to comprehend God.

The lifestyle of faith towards God is a life lived from the spirit.

Quote of the week

”That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.”
